Anime - Panda-ish EP (Review)

The latest installment of Hellfire Corner Records reissues has just been released and this time it's Folkestone wordsmith Anime who swaggers onto streaming services with his most recent release - Panda-Ish.

Guest Features and Production by:

Omus One

7th Sense

Pond

Recommended tracks:

Hip Hop

Under The Weather (feat. Omus One)

This is a solid little EP from Anime; you really can tell that he's been grafting hard and chipping away at this for a long time and as a veteran of over 10 years in the game, he's confident with his skills and just oozes charisma when he's waltzing with ease over some really tight production from 7th Sense & Pond.

Stylistically, this sounds and feels like a proper throwback, early 2000's UKHH release. Raw and rugged, crackly, thumping beats, sporadic spitting and great chemistry as he trades verses with Omus One on Under The Weather.

Definitely worth checking out, this is a proper Hellfire Corner Records classic. Hopefully a few more heads get turned onto this now it's on streaming platforms, speaking of which you can grab a digital copy from Bandcamp here or you can stream it on Spotify here.

Big up the whole squad @ Hellfire Corner Records...

I thought as a change from the normal programme i would go through a load of my wax, old and new and play some of the UKHH that made me love the genre. Shouts all the artists that keep it going!!! htt
