Habitat 617, El Tel The Dopeness & Donnie Propa, collectively known as Heavy Links return to the scene with their brand-new album ‘NWC’…
The latest release from the Lincolnshire-based trio comes 3 years after their last offering – the throwback, heavy-hitting Boom Bap stylings of ‘Step Up to Get Your Rep Up’ and promises to give fans more of the same trademark heavy verbiage, dope lyricism and all-round home-grown authenticity.
‘NWC’ draws it’s influences from the more modern styles of Hip Hop and its new wave of artists such Westside Gunn, Roc Marci and Hus Kingpin while remaining thoroughly rooted within the UK in its style of delivery, attitude and relatability.
El Tel The Dopeness showcases his evolution as a producer as he proceeds to deliver the smooth sonics with impeccable detail as well as trading blistering but laid-back verses alongside fellow wordsmith, Habitat 617 across the 9-track epic - with all cut’s precision-handled by in-house turntablist, Donnie Propa.
It’s a triumphant return from Heavy Links and a highlight release for the UK scene…
‘NWC’ is out on Friday 20th August on Digital Streaming Platforms and Vinyl on Soundweight Records.
